Steel Meets Porcelain

The Blue Swords – a globally recognized trademark of Europe’s oldest porcelain – combined with the oldest tournament in Olympic weightlifting: what a unique combination. In 2026, AC Meissen will host athletes from the international weightlifting community for the 35th time.

Following an outstanding 2025 edition featuring world and European records, we once again expect a top-class field of competitors, including Olympic champions as well as world and continental champions.

Taking place just six weeks before the World Championships in China, the event provides the perfect opportunity for a final test of world championship form.

Look forward to three event sessions, a livestream, an engaging supporting program, and the unique atmosphere of the Meissen weightlifting hall – set in the charm of a city with over 1,000 years of history.
